Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions we hear most about using diglabo, including the rules for schools and tutoring centers.

Getting started

Is diglabo really free? Will I be charged later?
Viewing, downloading, and printing worksheets, and grading with your phone camera, are all free. There is currently no paid plan.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You can download and print worksheets without signing up. Creating an account keeps your download history, favorites, and grading records.
Which grades do you cover?
Math worksheets for elementary Grades 1 through 6. Beyond calculation, we cover word problems, shapes, units, clocks, and more, organized step by step within each topic.See also: Math Drills
Do the worksheets come with answers?
Every worksheet has an answer PDF. On the worksheet page, you can also check the answers on screen.
Does this match my country's curriculum?
The worksheets follow Japan's official curriculum guidelines and the order used in Japanese textbooks. Some countries teach topics in a different order or use different notation.See also: These Worksheets Follow the Japanese Curriculum — What That Means If You're Outside Japan
What paper should I print on? Does it work in black and white?
A4 paper. It works fine on a home printer or a school's black-and-white copier.
Can I download a whole grade at once?
On the Math Drills page, use "Download a grade workbook" to get a single PDF containing all the worksheets for that grade.See also: Math Drills
Can I use this on a phone or tablet?
The site works on phones and tablets. Worksheets are meant to be printed.
Is this available in other languages?
diglabo is available in Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, and Spanish. Switching the language also switches the worksheet content. Some topics are not yet published in every language.

For schools, tutoring centers, and classes

Can I use these in class or for homework?
Yes, please go ahead. You don't need to ask permission or notify us, and there's no charge.
Can I use these at a tutoring center or after-school class? We charge tuition.
Yes. You can hand these out to students even at a fee-charging tutoring center, free of charge and without notifying us. What you can't do is sell the worksheets themselves or include them in paid materials or workbooks.
Can I copy enough for my whole class?
There's no limit on the number of copies. Print or photocopy as many as you need.
Can I pull out individual problems to build my own quiz or worksheet?
Yes. Please keep it within a limited audience, such as your class or students. You can't post anything you've modified somewhere anyone can see, like a public website or social media.
Can I share these through Google Classroom, Teams, or a student app?
As long as only participants can see it, you can share the PDF as is or after modifying it.
Do I need to credit diglabo?
You don't have to. If you're sharing an unmodified worksheet publicly, please keep the QR code and logo printed on it.
What am I not allowed to do?
Four things: selling the worksheets or printouts; including them in paid materials, workbooks, or apps; collecting worksheets and redistributing them on a site or app whose purpose is distribution; and posting modified worksheets somewhere anyone can see.See also: Terms of Use (Article 6)

Sharing

Can I feature this on social media or my blog?
Please do. The best way is to share a link to the worksheet's page — if we fix a mistake later, the link always points to the current version.
Can I post the PDF itself on social media or my blog?
Yes, as long as it's unmodified. Please keep the QR code and logo printed on it — scanning the QR code opens that worksheet's page.
Can I mention this in a school or class newsletter?
Please do. Feel free to include the site address or a link to the worksheet's page.

Grading by photo

How does photo grading work?
Take a photo of a completed math worksheet with your phone, and it's graded automatically. Photograph the whole sheet from directly above, so all four black squares in the corners are visible.See also: Grade by photo
Is there a fee or a limit on how many sheets I can grade?
It's free. Without an account, you can grade up to 3 sheets in total. With an account, you can grade up to 50 sheets per day, per account.
What happens to the photos of graded answer sheets?
We store the images for grading and delete them automatically after 90 days. We use Google Cloud's AI to read the handwriting, but we only send cropped images of the answer boxes — never the name field or the whole sheet. Data we send is never used to train AI models.See also: Privacy Policy
How accurate is the grading?
We publish results measured against real handwritten answers in our study guide. If something is misread, you can correct it on the results screen.See also: How Accurate Is Photo Grading? What 714 Handwritten Answers Showed

Account

Can a child sign up?
If you're a minor, please use the service with a parent or guardian's consent. At sign-up, we ask for your email address, nickname, and birth year and month.
Can multiple children, like siblings, use one account?
Yes, you can register a separate "player" for each child under one account. Grading records are kept separately for each player.
I want to delete my account.
You can delete it from "Delete account" in your dashboard. This permanently removes all data, including players, learning records, and graded images, and it cannot be undone.
