Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the service provided by dig hacks, Inc. ("we"). By using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Definitions

"Service": our learning support service. "User": any person who uses the Service. "Third-party Services": services we integrate with or entrust, including Supabase.

2. Account and Authentication

  • The Service uses Supabase Auth for authentication.
  • You must keep registration information true and accurate.
  • Minors must use the Service with guardian consent.

3. Data and Privacy

Information collected (nickname, birth month/year, Supabase Auth authentication data, minimal technical info) and purposes/retention/sharing follow our Privacy Policy, which prevails for details.

4. Service Content and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or terminate all or part of the Service. Material changes will be notified in the Service.

5. Prohibited Activities

  • Violations of laws or public order and morals
  • Infringement of rights, defamation, spam, service disruption, excessive load
  • Unauthorized access or reverse engineering
  • False registration, use of the Worksheets beyond the scope permitted in paragraphs 3 to 5 of Article 6, or other inappropriate acts as determined by us

6. Intellectual Property and Use of Worksheets

  1. All rights to the Service belong to us or our licensors. Subject to these Terms, users may use the Service on a non-exclusive, non-transferable basis.
  2. In this Article, "Worksheets" means the worksheets published on the Service, including the PDF files and printed copies of them.
  3. Users may print, copy and distribute the Worksheets free of charge and without limit on the number of copies for learning at home, at school, at tutoring schools or in other classrooms. The same applies when a for-profit business distributes them in its lessons or instruction.
  4. Users may share the Worksheets on social media, websites and other media, provided that the Worksheets are not modified and the QR code and logo remain visible.
  5. Users may distribute Worksheets they have modified, for example by extracting or rearranging parts of them, only in places where viewing is limited, such as to the participants of a class.
  6. Notwithstanding the preceding three paragraphs, users may not:
    • sell the Worksheets or printed copies of them;
    • include the Worksheets in teaching materials, workbooks, applications or other products or services offered for a fee;
    • collect the Worksheets and provide them through a website, application or other service whose main purpose is distributing worksheets; or
    • post modified Worksheets where anyone can view them.
  7. Parts subject to specific licenses, such as model character shapes and dictionary-derived data in kanji worksheets, are governed by those licenses (KanjiVG: CC BY-SA 3.0; KANJIDIC2, JMdict, and the processed data and model font of diglabo-kanji-data: CC BY-SA 4.0; OFL fonts such as Klee One: SIL Open Font License 1.1), which take precedence over this Article. The general restrictions in these Terms do not restrict reuse permitted by the respective licenses.

7. Disclaimer

We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes. We are not liable for damages arising from third-party services (e.g., Supabase), network conditions, or devices.

8. Limitation of Liability

Except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence, our liability is limited to direct and ordinary damages actually incurred and shall not exceed the fees paid to us by the user in the past 12 months (0 if the Service is free).

9. Third-party Services

The Service uses Supabase. We are not responsible for the terms, availability, or issues of such services.

10. Communication

We may contact users via in-service notices or registered email.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may amend these Terms as needed. Material changes will be notified in the Service and will apply after the effective date we set.

12. Anti-social Forces

Users represent and warrant that they are not and will not be involved with anti-social forces.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Japanese law, with the Tokyo District Court as the exclusive court of first instance.
