The touch is that of whole numbers, and only the mark used for lining up changes to the decimal point. No Carrying (Column Calculation) and 1 Carry (Column Calculation) are stacked in the vertical layout. Numbers of the same size turn up in the horizontal working and in Fill in the Blank, where one of them is hidden by a box.

Working back from the answer to the box, children allow for the sent 1 in advance and the tenths place lands one out. The tenths digit of the box is 0 if the tenths of the answer matches the number that can be seen, and something other than 0 if it does not. Settling that first, before moving to the ones place, keeps the work straight.
Subtraction of Decimals keeps the same mark for lining up, and instead of sending to the column above it breaks a column above apart. Items worked backwards from the answer appear there too, in the subtracting direction.
