- Word Problems with Rounded Answers
Rather than working until the division comes out, these Word Problems round at a place the question names. Questions that find an amount per 1 m or per 1 L and turn it into an approximate figure stand beside Two Steps questions that calculate a second quantity from that approximate figure, and the place to round at changes from question to question.

What gets carried into the second expression in a Two Steps question is the approximate figure, the one after rounding. Papers come in where the fine quotient from before the rounding was carried on instead, so if the figure standing in the second expression matches the figure written as the first answer, the procedure was followed.
Answering with the rounding included is complete after this lesson. The next unit, Mixed Calculations with Decimals, works everything from addition to division inside one expression, in the order the rules require.
