- Word Problems (Basic)
Scenes finding a cost, an amount remaining or an amount for one are expressed as a single expression joining two operations, in these Word Problems. Combinations such as putting together then dividing, leaving some then multiplying, and multiplying then subtracting are prepared, one for each scene.

When the part to be found first is an addition or a subtraction, it has to be either wrapped in parentheses or written with the multiplication distributed over both terms. Anything else lets multiplication and division act first and the value slips, so check whether the figure obtained by working the expression exactly as written matches the answer the scene wants.
Rules of Calculation (Expressions) supplied the expressions already written. Here the labor of reading a scene and making the expression is added. In Word Problems (Application) that expression breaks into two tiers.
