Fraction × Fraction

C-1

Fill in the Blank

What this worksheet covers

Grade 6 (Elementary School) / Multiplication of Fractions / Fraction × Fraction

Both of the numbers multiplied become fractions. Expressions using Simplifying Along the Way stand beside expressions that turn a mixed number into an improper fraction before multiplying, as Calculation, and Fill in the Blank multiplies two proper fractions with only one numerator as a gap while the denominator and the product stay visible.

The two figures that can be used for simplifying always sit one above the line and one below it. A stroke drawn diagonally whose two ends fall in those two positions has been used correctly. An answer that struck out two figures both above the line is caught here.

There are more places to simplify, but the procedure of denominator with denominator and numerator with numerator is that of Fraction × Whole Number and Whole Number × Fraction. In Multiplication of Fractions Word Problems the expression itself rises out of a scene.
