Solve kanji worksheets on screen
We've added an on-screen option to supported kanji worksheets. You can start from a ready-made worksheet, one you've built yourself, or a published workbook page. Your child can write kanji with a finger or stylus, type readings in kana, and choose answers for multiple-choice questions.
After adding on-screen practice to the maths worksheets, kanji still required paper. I wanted you to be able to choose paper or a screen from the same material, depending on the day.
Follow the questions on the sheet
The on-screen questions come from the supported saved version of the worksheet and appear in its order. The input changes with the question: writing, reading, choices, or fields such as radicals and stroke counts. Practice squares appear where they do on paper. Tracing squares aren't marked right or wrong.
For writing questions, your child can look at what they wrote while working through the sheet. Results show circles and crosses, and they can try again. If a machine judgment seems uncertain, look at the written character with your child before treating that result as final.
Come back to unfinished work
Work in progress and results are saved in the browser on the device being used. Open the same worksheet there to continue. If you're signed in and have selected your child, the results of submitted answers are also recorded in the account. The handwriting strokes themselves don't move to another device.
I made it possible to stop and return because finishing a whole sheet in one sitting isn't always helpful. One question at a time is enough.
Start with one sheet
You'll see the on-screen button on worksheet versions that are supported. Versions that can't be presented in full don't show it. Choose between printing and on-screen practice to suit your situation.
