- Perpendicular and Parallel Lines
How two straight lines stand to each other is investigated. Finding Perpendicular Lines and Finding Parallel Lines mark each of five lines with a circle or a cross by eye. Parallel Lines and Angles (Finding the Angle) and The Width Between Parallel Lines become calculations that pull figures out of a drawing, and Parallel Lines and Angles (Identifying Equal Angles) answers with a symbol which angles match.

The Width Between Parallel Lines deliberately includes one sloping segment carrying no right-angle mark, with its length written into the question as well. Width is measured along a segment perpendicular to both lines, so the answer equals the perpendicular segment already known. A written figure differing from that one was copied from the sloping segment.
First lesson of Perpendicular and Parallel Lines, Quadrilaterals. In Identifying Various Quadrilaterals the relation between two lines moves inside a quadrilateral, and which sides run parallel separates a trapezoid from a parallelogram.
