- Counting Blocks
How many blocks make up a stack is what gets counted. Basics runs from four up to eight and Advanced from nine to fifteen, so the numbers grow as the stage rises. The way of answering is the same act of looking as before: read the picture and write a number.

The larger the pile, the more easily a lower layer or a row at the back goes uncounted. A block on top that is not floating in the air must have another beneath it. Deciding on an order first, layer by layer and adding, or column by column, brings the total out right.
Height and depth enter the picture here, and blocks sit behind what can be seen. Supplying the hidden ones rests on the experience of viewing solids gained in Types of Shapes. In Telling Time, what has to be read moves on to the hour of the day.
