From a set of choices, children say what flat outline a solid presents when looked at from one side. Shape Seen from the Front comes first, then Shape Seen from Above, then Shape Seen from the Front and Above lays the two together, and Matching the Views works backwards to the solid itself.

Trying to name a solid from a single outline splits the answers apart. A tube reads as a circle from overhead and as a square head-on, so it wears two faces. Even with both pictures supplied, the one that caught the eye first decides the choice, and the answer fails to agree with the second picture.
Two lessons close the unit, one step beyond simply looking at solids. Order and Position leaves figures behind and takes up numbers that say where something stands in a line.
