Word problems here have the blank cells of a multiplication table filled in and the answer read back out of it. The table fixes one number to be multiplied and lays out the products as the multiplier climbs from one to twelve, with cells left empty here and there.

Copying whatever stands in the next cell, or skipping one and writing the product of a later multiplier, breaks the steady rise along that row. Checking that the gap between neighboring cells equals that fixed number exposes the error in filling.
Tables and Graphs holds a single lesson. Before an answer can be read off the table, the missing products have to be supplied one at a time, and from 'Fewer' Word Problems onward the equation has to be settled from words alone.
