What this worksheet covers
- Worksheet
- The 3 Times Table
Counting up carries a child this far and no further. Answers that climb by three, 3, 6, 9, grow hard to follow on the fingers once they pass into two digits. Calculation and Fill in the Blank both go over The 3 Times Table again and again and nothing else.

Getting the tens digit wrong stands out. Answers in The 3 Times Table appear only on the ladder that rises by three, so a number that is not on that ladder is wrong on that ground alone. For a number that does sit on it, check whether raising the multiplier by one makes the answer three larger.
Third lesson of the unit. The road of building an answer by counting, still open as far as The 2 Times Table, narrows here, and the work turns to drawing out what has been said aloud and remembered. The 4 Times Table closes the unit.
