Kanji workbooks for elementary, junior high and Kanji Kentei
We've published kanji workbooks that let you choose worksheets for the part your child is learning. They cover Japanese elementary grades 1–6, junior high grades 1–3, and Kanji Kentei levels 10–2. There are currently 386 volumes.
I wanted to keep two ways of using the worksheets: picking one sheet for today and keeping a whole set together. The workbooks help you see the available range and open only what your child needs.
One sheet or a whole volume
From the kanji workbook list, choose a school grade or Kanji Kentei level and browse the sheets by topic. You can open a single question sheet and its answers as PDFs. If you want a whole volume, there are also two combined PDFs: questions only, or questions with practice pages. You can use them without signing up.
You don't need to print an entire volume at the start. I wanted the individual sheets to be easy to inspect first, with the combined PDF there when you want several pages together.
Check the range and the questions
Grade and level pages let you look through topics such as reading and writing. A sheet preview leads to the full list or search. On an individual resource page, you can check the questions, reveal the answers, and open the question and answer PDFs.
The right sheet depends on whether your child wants to work on reading or writing. I arranged the pages so you can move from a range, to a topic, to the contents of one sheet before deciding.
Use only the pages you need
The workbooks contain many pages, but your child doesn't have to finish them in order. Look at a sheet together and start with one that feels manageable today. The answers are available from the same page.
