Finding the stretch between two times is one shape, tracing forward or back from a given time is another, and putting two durations together to give a Total Time (Minutes, Seconds) is a third.

Working out from the last few words of the question which of the two is wanted heads off the outcome where the arithmetic is right but only the form of the answer is wrong.
