- Right Triangles
Only triangles carrying a right angle are to be chosen. The items are all about hunting, among triangles set down at every sort of angle, for figures in which one of the three corners is square. Which corner it happens to be changes from figure to figure, and some placements make it hard to see.

Taking the widest corner for the right angle brings in triangles opened a little past square. Handing the child the corner of a sheet of paper and having them hold it against each angle, to see whether the two sides sit flush against it, gets them out of judging by eye.
Third lesson, and the second time a right angle serves as the clue after Right Angles, Rectangles, and Squares. In Perimeter of Shapes, the last of the four, the study moves from choosing figures to adding up the lengths of their sides.
