Triangles and Quadrilaterals worksheets for Grade 2 (Elementary School)
What this unit covers
The starting point is telling a triangle, enclosed by three straight lines, from a quadrilateral, enclosed by four. Attention then turns to right angles, so that squares, rectangles and right triangles can be picked out, and the unit ends with Perimeter of Shapes.
Children who treat any pointed corner as a triangle also pick figures whose lines do not join up and figures with curved sides. In Perimeter of Shapes, side lengths that are not printed go unsupplied and only the given numbers get added, so the answer is short by two sides.
