- Reducing, Common Denominators, Equal Fractions
Work opens with Fill in the Blank, where the gap in a pair of equal fractions is filled, and proceeds through simplifying, finding a common denominator for two fractions, then for three, and on to showing which is larger with an inequality sign, all as Calculation. One property runs through it: multiplying or dividing top and bottom by the same number leaves the size unchanged.

In the questions taking an inequality sign, papers appear that fix the direction from the numerators alone, or the denominators alone. Fractions with unlike denominators cannot be compared until they are matched. Rewrite them with a common denominator, and the sign is right when its opening faces the larger numerator; where the numerators agree, what belongs there is an equals sign.
The overlap between the numbers written out in Properties of Integers (Divisors and Multiples) becomes the tool for rewriting a fraction here. Division and Fractions widens the view of a fraction to the quotient of a division.
