What this worksheet covers
- Worksheet
- Length
There are more units than in the capacity lesson. All four of mm, cm, m and km are present, and the multiplier changes with each neighboring pair: ten for cm→mm, a hundred for m→cm, a thousand for km→m. Eight directions of conversion are covered.

In the Decimals→Compound Units shape, answers survive that have not been carried through. The figure on the leftover side must never reach one whole of the larger unit, so at most 9 for cm with mm and at most 99 for m with cm. A figure above that on the leftover side leaves room for one more carry.
The multipliers to remember have grown, but the touch of substituting one for another is that of Capacity. Word Problems performs the restating once inside a scene that has been read, and then moves on to the arithmetic.
