- Decimal Units
The same weight is rewritten using a decimal. Just as 3 kg 800 g is restated as 3.8 kg, the conversions cover kg→g and g→kg, kg→kg, g and kg, g→kg, and t→kg and kg→t as well, all with decimals mixed in.

In kg→kg, g, answers appear that write 1.5 kg as 1 kg 5 g. The 1 in the tenths place stands for 100 g, so 0.5 kg is 500 g. A g figure in the answer that is a single digit exactly matching the tenths digit has missed the multiplying by a hundred.
With whole numbers and decimals both available, the ways of writing a weight are complete. Fractions brings a third way, neither whole nor decimal, and one more means of expressing a quantity below one.
