In a question asking for the smaller amount, the answer never passes the larger amount given in the writing. Add the difference instead of subtracting it and a figure appears that has overtaken that larger amount. This is the pattern of drifting into addition on the strength of the words longer or heavier alone.
Subtracting 3 Fractions returns to expressions and raises the fractions being taken away from one to two. This lesson is where the way of subtracting learned from expressions gets set back into scenes, all at once.
