A-3Conversion (Fraction → Minutes, Seconds)
What this worksheet covers
Grade 6 (Elementary School) / The Structure of Measurement Units / Units of Time
Hours, minutes and seconds are moved among by way of fractions. Four kinds appear as conversions: turning a fractional number of hours into minutes, gathering a way of speaking that mixes hours and minutes into a mixed number of hours, turning a fractional number of minutes into seconds, and gathering minutes and seconds into a mixed number of minutes, and two kinds of word problem opening from real scenes come as well.
Turn a number of hours carrying a whole-number part into minutes and the answer must pass sixty minutes, because one hour is sixty minutes in itself. A figure short of sixty means only the fractional part was multiplied by sixty, with the whole hours in front left unconverted.
The restating of time is settled with this lesson. In Word Problems with Various Quantities the child chooses the restating needed from scenes mixing length, area and weight together.
