- Units (m and cm)
The partner unit grows one size. Everything rests on 1 m being 100 cm, and the lesson gathers nothing but conversions, restating m as cm or splitting a figure in cm into m and cm. Getting used to figures that move by a hundred times or a hundredth is the aim.

The tenfold habit from the previous lesson lingers, and converting m to cm only one zero gets added. 3 m coming out as 30 cm is the type. In the splitting direction a leftover of less than a hundred goes into the m column, and the two units change size in the answer.
The restating is the same, but the digits now move a hundredfold rather than the tenfold of Units (cm and mm). Three lessons have settled the units of length, and from Addition (Same Units) the work turns to arithmetic.
