What this worksheet covers
- Worksheet
- Addition (1 Carry)
Equations in which a carry happens exactly once are handled at three digits. The boxed items call for reading which place the overflow took place in, while the word problems call for assembling the equation out of a scene.

Where the box holds a two-digit number, children settle it from the ones alone by subtracting, never put the sent 1 back, and then match up the tens. Returning the number to the equation and adding again lets the eye confirm whether it falls exactly on the answer as written.
Second lesson of the unit. All that has been gained is one act of sending a number upward, and adding from the ones on up is just as it was in Addition (No Carrying).
