Time and Duration worksheets for Grade 2 (Elementary School)

What this unit covers

One full turn of the long hand is 60 minutes, which is one hour, and that relationship drives the conversions from hours to minutes and from minutes to hours and minutes. Adding and subtracting durations follows, and elapsed time crossing from morning into afternoon is found both with a clock and without one.

Carrying at 10 instead of 60 shows up as 1 hour 70 minutes rather than 1 hour 10 minutes for 70 minutes. When crossing from morning into afternoon, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. gets counted as ten hours rather than two, with the numbers on the clock face simply subtracted.
