Area worksheets for Grade 4 (Elementary School)
What this unit covers
Area is put into numbers using the formulas for rectangles and squares. Beyond finding area in cm², m² and km², the unit covers recovering a side from the area, working out Perimeter, splitting L-Shape and Staircase Shape figures into parts, and restating an area in a and ha.
The first error is confusing area with perimeter and answering with the height and the width added together. In unit conversion, many children treat 1 m² as 100 cm² and multiply by 100 when the correct factor is 10000. An answer off by two digits is that mix-up.
