The 1 that overflowed out of the ones joins the tens and overflows a second time there. Only forms where the sending happens twice in a row are gathered, with a two-digit number added to a three-digit one. Boxed items hunting a missing number and word problems reading a scene are the two shapes.

Where the answer stays inside three digits, its hundreds digit stands one higher than the hundreds digit of the original number. If it has not moved, the 1 sent up from the tens has gone missing. Boxed items also produce answers matched at the ones with a discrepancy left standing in the tens.

From Subtraction (No Borrowing) the direction turns, and a two-digit or three-digit number is taken away from a three-digit one. The run of piling on carries stops here, after three lessons of addition.
